A history of the house of Gordon.
As the author points out in his prefatory note - a concise history of the the House of Gordon had been written and published in 1754 however it was increasingly rare and costly. So the book was updated and published in this smaller more "convenient " size with an appendix to bring the history down to the present time (1890).
Condition Notes
A very good well bound edition with smart red cover boards with gilt decoration on the front and titles on the spine. Inside the pages are clean and bright throughout. A very handsome book.
