A magnificent large silver Celtic design penannular brooch. The brooch's theme uses the Celtic compass rose knot which signifies journey and a sailor's return intertwined with mythical sea creatures. The pin is fixed in position.

The Brooch is hallmarked with Anchor/lion/D so can be dated to 1928. Ther are makers initials D & S so can be attributed to Glasgow silversmiths Duncan & Scobbie who produced in both Birmingham and Sheffield too.

This brooch is in fine condition overall.
This is a second hand jewellery piece and will have some imperfections. Older jewellery was primarily hand crafted(modern jewellery is more often than not cast made). They are therefore unique pieces.
