A fine pair of miniature twinned Scottish silver Quaich hallmarked for Edinburgh and dated 1923.
They would make a perfect gift for a couple. There is room on the side for a small engraving, perhaps an initial(s).

The word Quaich comes form the Gaelic word "cuach" (cup or bowl). It is often referred to as a friendship or love cup generally with two handles although 3 or 4 handle quaiches have been made. Sharing the cup demonstrates a trust between 2 individuals or groups of people. You can fill the cup with a drink of your choice however it is usually whisky.
