  • Additional Product Information

The belt buckle design was one of the most popular styles of the era, originating from Queen Victoria herself. She used it to signify her membership to the Order of the Garter, an order of chivalry created by King Edward III in 1348. The symbol of the historic order features a vibrant blue belt as in this jewellry piece which uses blue banded agate.  However people also adopted the belt buckle as a symbol for love, fidelity, and unbreakable bonds.

  • Condition Notes

One of the agate segments has suffered some damage and has been repaired - otherwise the piece is in excellent condition.
