  • Additional Product Information

Samuel Rutherford Crockett - published as SR Crockett(1859-1914) was an extremely successful and prolific Scottish author and now relatively unknown.

Bog-Myrtle and Peat is one of his most popular books - a book of shorts stories all based in Galloway.

  • Condition Notes

Good overall condition - still tightly bound but with some minor damage which does not detract from the pleasure of this edition.

The outer boards have some light stains - evidence of an old water stain which is also apparent on the inside front end paper. There is a crease down the middle of the spine, bumping on the corners and folding along the top and bottom edges. The gilt titles are still crisp and clear.

There is a previous owner name on the inside end paper as well as on the title page(see image).

The inside pages are clean and bright with normal age-tanning. There is handsome gilt edging along the top.
