  • Additional Product Information

Sir John Carr (1772–1832) was an English barrister and a serial travel writer.

Caledonian Sketches, or a Tour through Scotland in 1807 is accompanied by 11 engravings by the author and a frontispiece of Edinburgh.

  • Condition Notes

This orginal 1809 copy has been rebound - quite probably in Malta as it has a library stamp. The new binding has ensured the book has remained in fair condition for its age.

The Inside pages are bright but have nevertheless severe foxing in parts especially on the engravings.
