A pair of Celtic Trefoil or Trinity Knot design bookends

Trinity knot, triquetra, trefoil knot, or triskele is a much used design and is commenly known to represent th Holy Trinity although the number "Three" is also a sacred number in Celtic mythology, and other interpretations of the three arcs include life, death, and rebirth; the earth, sky, and sea; and the past, present, and future.

Very good condition. Probably date to 1930's
