    Sir Patrick Vans of Barnbarroch (1529-1597), or Patrick Vaus, was a Scottish judge, courtier and diplomat during the turbulent Tudor period. These 2 volumes are a collection of his private correspondence commencing whilst at school at Musselburgh.

  • Condition Notes

    2 elegant volumes of historical importance.

    Both volumes are still well bound although there is a some looseness in the first.

    The beige cover boards of both volumes have general fading and wear and tear. 

    A previous owner's name and address are present in ink on the inside end paper of both volumes.

    The inside pages are generally age-tanned but remain bright and clean.
