I went a'shepherding relates the author's experience on the Old Kyle Farm on the Isle of Skye which covered 2000 acres of hillside in the 1930's

A keen ornithologist and an equally astute commentator on all life around him, including human, his account is all about the challenges faced by humans and wild life in remote western Scotland.

The book is also illustrated with a great number of the authors own black and white photography.

  • Condition Notes

Publised under strict ecommic restrictions in place during WW2 the book is printed on poorer quality paper and with a dense print to reduce paper usage.

The Original dust cover, now covered with a plastic protective cover, has had some wear and tear around the edges with a part missing around the top of the spine. But its presence adds to the integrity of the book. There are some minor dents on the botton edges of the cover boards.

The inside pages are clean however the thinness of the papar has meant a yellowing throughout.  Previous owners dedication and signature and date & place - "New Delhi Christmas 1945" are on the inside front end paper.
