John Graham of Claverhouse, 1st Viscount Dundee (Bonnie Dundee) (1648 -1689)was a Scottish nobleman and professional soldier and is best known for leading the Jacobite cause in the first Jacobite uprising of 1689.
His military career spanned periods in the French army of Louis XIV fighting in the low counties, with the army of Charles II surpressing presbyterian conventicles and finally with his own Scottish regiment when he fought the Orangists of William until his death at the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689.

A Robust edition in good overall condition with strong blue cover boards with some folding an bumping along the edges and corners.
