Prior to 1832 very little Gaelic prose had been officially recorded. Donald Mackinnon's prose first appeared in 1871 in a Gaelic Monthly. The writing consist of 14 essays on Gaelic proverbs, 13 essays on Gaelic literature and six essays on miscellaneous subjects. His prose is described as restrained, graceful and dignified. This book represents his collected works.
Condition Notes
A very good clean copy with some light fraying at the top edge of the dust cover and some light spotting but it has doen its job and ensured the reat of the book both the cover boards and the inside pages are clean and bright throughout.
