Scottish Mountain Drawings Volume One: The Northern Highlands

Alfred Wainwright (1907-1991) is most famous for his books and etchings of the Cumbrian Mountains where he lived and worked for a large part of his life. 

In the latter part of his life he produced  complete etchings and descriptions of the Scottish Highlands & Islands which were then published during the 1970s  in 6 separate volumes.

In this - Volume one - he covers  some of the most dramatic mountainscapes in Lochaber and Assynt.

A fine copy - the original dustcover has some small tears along the front bottom edge and some light stains.

The inside pages are bright and clean throughout.
