"The Ballad Minstrelsy of Scotland" is a collection of Scottish ballads that was compiled and edited by the Scottish poet, novelist, and literary scholar Robert Chambers (1802-1871). The collection was first published in 1827 and was later revised and expanded in several subsequent editions.

"The Ballad Minstrelsy of Scotland" remains a valuable resource for those interested in Scottish history, culture, and literature, and is still widely read and studied today.

  • Condition Notes

A good copy from 1871 - there is some gentle looseness in the binding but still holds together and makes a good working copy. The inside pages have the usual age-related tanning and the sheet edges tht are roughly cut have some engrained dust. There is a previous owner's name in ink on the inside front end-paper.
