The text of Barbour's great poem has been preserved in two manuscripts—one signed "J. de B." and dated 1487, in the Library of St. John's College, Cambridge, and another signed "Johannes Ramsay," dated 1489, and bound up with a MS. of The Wallace by the same hand, in the Advocates' Library, Edinburgh.
