    David Howarth's book tells the story of the Norwegians and their sailings in small boats from the Shetland Isles to Norway during WWII transporting weapons, supplies and people to and from the German-occupied country. They referred to the small vessel trips as "to take the Shetland bus".

    The book includes maps and 16 black and white photographic plates.

  • Condition Notes

    The attractively designed dustcover has suffered somewhat - a loss of 25% especially at rear. It has been preserved as best as possible as it is considered an important for authenticity. Underneath the cover boards have some light foxing. The inisde pages are bright and clean throughout.
