This quite scarce book will be of interest to those interested in the history of the clans and tartan generally. There is a short history of Tartan(of which there are many points of views) followed by a list of all the clans and families (not comprehensive) who possess their own tartan and lists each of their coat of arms, origin and motto. This is followed by a list of all the clans with the sub names & families as dependents of a specific clan.
Condition Notes
An interesting and scarce book and the price reflects its condition. The cover boards have some general wear and tear and round the edges however the tartan cover does remain bright despite some scuffing.
The overall quality of the binding remains adequate although it will require careful handling in order to preserve its current state.
The inside pages are bright and clean throughout with just the usual age-related tanning.
